My reflection – 5 years in Penang - by Major Francis Ng

How do you summed up 5 years in a page? Well, let me just say that God is good all the time! And all the peo-ple say: “All the time, God is good!”

Would I have chosen to come or would we have chosen to come to Penang to serve in our present ap-pointments? I heard someone said; “when given choices to man, the percentage of happiness drops against fixed choices by circum-stances and experiences!” There is a will and resilience for man to face his fixed choice or circumstances and make the most out of it.

Please, I hope you readers can un-derstand how in the Army, our lead-ers under God's grace and direction has appointed us here to serve in Penang and; we have been very blessed in living, serving and shar-ing our lives together with the peo-ple here in Penang. Of course, not without its challenges; and who in this world wouldn't have one or sev-eral in this world. And probably some of you are facing in this eco-nomic uncertainty, emotional stress, physical discomfort and other host of challenges.
